IOS 18 has been a major update for the iPhone. In the past year, several iterations – including iOS 18.1, 18.2 and 18.3 – introduced several new features to the iPhone 16 And the rest of the iPhone range. This, of course, includes Apple intelligence, visual intelligence and a multitude of other personalization features that were not available on an iPhone.
Now the third beta version of iOS 18.4 is out. This version, which should take place stable soon, brings even more features, including priority notifications.
Priority notifications
Apple Intelligence introduces a new feature that allows users to prioritize notifications. This can be activated by going to Settings> Notifications> Priority notifications and tilting it.
According to Apple’s description, this feature guarantees that important notifications appear in a separate section of the locking screen, allowing users to catch up with what they may have missed. Of course, users can always slip to see all notifications.
Visual intelligence for users of the iPhone 15 Pro
Users of the iPhone 15 Pro finally have access to visual intelligence via the Action button. Previously, this feature was exclusive to the iPhone 16 series and was accessible via the camera control button, which is only present on iPhone 16 models. From now on, users of the iPhone 15 Pro can trigger visual intelligence using the Action button.
In addition, users of the iPhone 16 can redo the action button to activate visual intelligence instead. To configure this, users can access settings> Action button and select visual intelligence.

Apple Intelligence arrives at the control center
An Apple dedicated intelligence section has now been added to the control center. This includes options such as talking to Siri, Type to Siri and trigger visual intelligence.
Pause application downloads
Users can now interrupt application downloads directly from the App Store update list. Previously, the download break was only possible from the home screen by learning in the long term an application that was being downloaded.
This feature is no longer limited to updates, it also applies to new application downloads.
Playground image gets a boost
Image Playground, which made its debut with iOS 18, received an upgrade in iOS 18.2. Now Apple has introduced a whole new image style called Sketch, which joins the animation and illustration of existing styles.
