iOS 18 gave the Apple calendar the functionality I have always wanted, and it does not disappoint

After the years which took place mainly unchanged, the Apple Calendar application began to improve quickly in recent months. And there is a particular recent feature that I wanted for a long time, and it has made a big difference for me: to integrate reminders with the Calendar application.

Calendar now has a complete overview of the calendar thanks to the integration of reminders

The calendar and the reminder applications of the iPhone, until recently, were two entirely distinct and partitioned applications.

But with iOS 18, the basic functionality of reminders entirely baked in the Calendar application.

For me, it was a very welcome upgrade for a main reason: now I can finally get a specific overview of my day just inside the Calendar application.

Calendar integration with reminders means that you can see all the reminders planned alongside your calendar events.

And I tend to use a lot of planned reminders. They offer me a useful way to stay at the top of the different domestic tasks and working priorities.

Before iOS 18, if I wanted to understand what a given day looked like, I should open the application and reminders of the calendar.

Looking at the calendar alone was not enough, because then I would miss a large planned work throughout my day.

But now I can see everything in one place.

All my planned reminders are listed online chronologically with calendar events, so with a quick glance on the Calendar application, I have an instant understanding of what my full day will look like.

The only drawback: you cannot currently activate certain lists of reminders in the Calendar application. You must display all the planned reminders (regardless of the list), be completely deactivated the reminders.

This limitation apart, the merger of reminders with the calendar was a fantastic change that made a big difference in my daily use.
