Apple’s next big software update, iOS 19is still several months away, but rumors about its exciting new features are already surfacing online. Reports suggest that the update will introduce a redesigned Camera app, a smarter Siri with AI capabilities, and a host of other improvements. Although the official announcement is expected at WWDC 2025 in June, leaks suggest the software could be rolled out gradually, with some features launching in later updates.
Redesigned camera app
One major change expected in iOS 19 is a revamped Camera app. According to a leak from tech YouTuber Jon Prosser, the app will feature a new translucent menu design, inspired by visionOS, Apple’s software for the Vision Pro headset. This redesign aims to provide a clearer and more immersive viewfinder by minimizing visual distractions. Users can expect easier navigation, with separate sections for Photo and Video controls at the bottom of the screen. The update could also introduce features like spatial video recording and improved access to settings like resolution and frame rate adjustments.
Smarter, AI-powered Siri
Apple is also working to improve Siri by integrating more advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that iOS 19 will bring a “more conversational” Siri, capable of handling complex queries much like ChatGPT. This upgrade will allow Siri to better understand user requests and provide more personalized responses. However, this improved version of Siri is expected to arrive in early 2026, possibly with an iOS 19.4 update. Meanwhile, iOS 18 has already introduced basic AI integrations, and more improvements are expected before Siri reaches its full potential.
