Apple plans some of the “largest redesign iOS and macOS in its history”, according to Bloombergis Mark Gurman.
In his Rise Newsletter todayGurman has reiterated that iOS 19 will have a vision of visionos with more transparent interfaces:
The new interfaces will adopt the design principles introduced in Visionos, the software for Apple Vision Pro. This includes greater transparency and new types of windows and buttons – and it should make all Apple devices more consistent and familiar.
The more transparent design of iOS 19 has already been disclosed for the application of the camera, and the new look will probably extend to notifications and more.
Until now, visionos type design changes have been subjected to three sources, so there is a good chance that this rumor will be true.
Similar design changes arrive at the iPad and Mac with the iPados 19 and MacOS 16, respectively, according to Gurman.
He previously said that iOS 19 design changes will be the most important since iOS 7.
Apple should announce iOS 19 to WWDC 2025 in June, with the first beta developer to follow shortly after Keynote. The software update will be published to the general public in September, alongside the iPhone 17 series.
