LAFC returns to action Tuesday night to face fellow Major League Soccer team Vancouver Whitecaps in the Leagues Cup.

The Black and Gold started their League Cup campaign with a 3-0 win over Liga MX side Club Tijuana, thanks to a brace from Cristian Olivera and an equaliser from Denis Bouanga. Steve Cherundolo will be hoping to do the same next time out to secure a place in the League Cup knockout stage.

The game against LAFC will be Vancouver’s first in the 2024 Leagues Cup before they take on Tijuana next weekend. The Canadian club are coming off a 4-1 defeat to Wrexham in EFL League One and will be hoping to return to form in time for their clash with LAFC.

Midfielder Timothy Tillman is still recovering from a leg injury and will not be available for selection against Vancouver. The US international is expected to return to the squad in mid-August.
