Holiday shopping time is quickly approaching, with Amazon’s annual Big Sale kicking off early Tuesday morning.
Since its inception in 2015, it marks the unofficial start of the global holiday shipping season. Tuesday will be the second Amazon Prime event of the year. The company’s July event is estimated to have generated $13 billion in revenue within 48 hours across 19 participating countries.
Below is information about the savings campaign.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2023?
Amazon Big Deal Day, also known as Prime Day, is an online promotion held exclusively for Amazon Prime members (more on this later). It offers the lowest prices on some products, from cosmetics to kitchenware, but only for 48 hours.
It starts at 3am on October 10th and runs until October 11th.
Prices for some items may fluctuate throughout the event, so it’s recommended to start your search early.

How to participate
Prime Day is only available to individuals with an Amazon Prime subscription.
Individuals can sign up for a 30-day free trial, after which the company will charge $14.99 per month or $139 per year. This includes access to Express Delivery, Prime Video, music streaming and photo storage.
Students can choose from different plans, and they can sign up for a six-month free trial using their “.edu” email address and receive a 50% discount on their subscription after the trial ends.
People taking advantage of government aid programs can also sign up for a modified version of Amazon Prime, which is more than half the regular price after a 30-day free trial.
What will be on sale?
Specific products haven’t been announced yet, but kitchen appliances, tech and beauty categories have seen the biggest discounts in the past.
Some of the retailers the company mentioned ahead of the event include Ruggable x Jonathan Adler, Urban Decay Cosmetics and PicassoTiles.

How to save more
Prime members can sign up for “invite-only” deals on select products that are expected to sell out quickly. Only certain customers will be selected to participate in these offers, and those selected will be notified with instructions on how to purchase the item.
Customers can also set up deal alerts on their account to be notified when a specific product is at its lowest price.
Early deals have been set up on the website. After the event, some products will remain available for a limited time.
