New Orleans floodwaters largely receded following flood emergency
A flash flood emergency caused widespread flooding on the South Shore on Wednesday. Rain fell on the New Orleans metro for hours with little to no breaks. The rain has now moved away from the area, but it may still take several hours for water to completely drain from the streets. The water has receded on the majority of New Orleans streets.
