IOS 19 should be a major overhaul of the platform, and many sources suggest that it will be the greatest overhaul since iOS 7-which was, believe or not, more than a decade ago. Apple’s brand for WWDC alludes to this, with translucent design elements subtly present in the visuals. And that made us think … What Apple changes could ultimately bring beyond aesthetics, including aesthetics and features, which would help iOS 19 to really stand out?
We have presented several points, and our list of wishes, what we expect and hope to see iOS 19. Of course, all this is not guaranteed to become reality, it is a list of wishes, after all, but if iOS 19 had to present these ideas, it would be quite exciting for Apple fans. Read the rest.
Translucidity, but everywhere
IOS 19 must present more translucent elements. If you open the control center now, it is translucent, the application open in the background is visible through it. However, this is not the case when you open the notification center, where the wallpaper manifests instead.
Apple must be more consistent with this translucent design language through the software, ideally, it therefore does not feel visually disjointed. The same principle could apply to the parameter application, perhaps, not quite sure what it would look like, but it would certainly be interesting to see. No more transluid throughout the user interface is something we would like. And fortunately, on the basis of what we have seen so far in the leaks, Apple seems to work in this direction. It is therefore a must in our books.
Personalized icons and more personalization
With iOS 18, we finally had the opportunity to personalize the icons – you can now make them light, dark or tint to a particular shade. You can also choose between large or small icons. However, personalization is always limited to this.
Ideally, we would be delighted to see a complete support for personalized icons – something that Android users have been enjoying for years now. The freedom to personalize your home screen in a more significant way would be a great victory for iOS users.
A better cleaning tool
Apple presented its own vision of Google’s Malen with cleaning – an Apple Intelligence feature which is intended to delete unwanted objects from the photos. However, after months of testing, we have concluded that it is far from being as good as Google from Google is erased or what Samsung tools can do.
These alternatives use a generative AI to intelligently fill what would have been behind the deleted object, often transparently. It would be great if Apple could considerably improve the cleaning tool, especially since it is one of the most frequently used features within Apple Intelligence.
Manual camera settings, please
The iPhone cameras are great – they are among the most reliable smartphone cameras. You point and pull, and you always get good results, whatever the objective.
But Apple has still not given manual user control in the default camera application. Yes, there is the new final camera application, which you can install separately to access manual checks, but this requires additional steps. Naturally, if you like professional controls, you can download a third -party application, but it’s always a problem.
We would like to see Apple rethink the integrated camera application and offer default manual settings, allowing professional users to make the most of their iPhone cameras.
