Google seems to prepare the support for Gemini on Android Auto, as well as the live experience of more conversational Gemini.
While the distance from Google Assistant continues, Gemini has spread to more Google platforms. It is widely available on smartphones, on its way to Google TV and smart speakers, as well as on work for Wear OS.
There was a glimpse of Gemini on Android Auto at the start of this year, but it seems that progress is made. Android authority managed to allow long -term experience earlier this week, and also spotted This gemini live is also in development. While the first looks quite rough on the edges and will need a certain optimization to be a good adjustment for the case, the idea of bringing Gemini Live to Android Auto is certainly intriguing.
The live experience of Gemini is very conversational and also designed to be interrupted. Live could certainly hold a place in the car without many changes, because the driver could essentially hold a conversation with the assistant to obtain answers as they would with a passenger who is looking for the same details on his device. With the integration between live applications and cards or media, it could be powerful. Beyond that, Astra’s memory with something like Dashcam’s functionality for Google Pixel phones could also return this at hand. But it’s all speculation for now.
As it is at the current development stage, Gemini Live appears as a button, then takes up the multimedia widget on the Android Auto dashboard.
