Louisville beats No. 10 Notre Dame, remains undefeated after shocking win

After beating No. 10 Notre Dame 33-20, No. 25 Louisville forced five turnovers (three interceptions) and a slew of defensive stops to go 6-0 on the season.

With 7:20 left in the game, Devin Neal intercepted Sam Hartman 34 yards, and Louisville stormed back. Brock Travelstead’s 32-yard field goal made it 30-13. It was a full circle moment. On the first drive of the game, Quincy Riley intercepted Hartman at Louisville’s 30-yard line. Jack Plummer carried the ball 70 yards for a touchdown, giving the team a 7-0 lead.

The Cardinals kept Notre Dame off balance. The defense sacked Hartman five times, forced three interceptions and limited the run to 44 yards.

After two straight tough games against ranked opponents, Notre Dame lost 17-14 to the then-No. No. 6 Ohio State and defeated then-No. 6 Ohio State 21-14. 17 Duke.
