AC Milan have announced that they will be selling goalkeeper jerseys that can be customized to feature Olivier Giroud’s name and number on the back, with the French forward impressing in the Rossoneri’s 1-0 away win over Genoa on Saturday.
Giroud was forced to keep goal after Mike Maignan was sent off and coach Stefano Pioli had used the five substitutes allocated to him.

Milan said in a statement: “Olivier Giroud became part of Milan’s history last night when he bravely defended AC Milan’s goal in the final minutes of the Rossoneri’s match against Genoa.
“The club has decided to include him on the goalkeeper list to commemorate his performance in the final line of defence. In addition, fans can now purchase goalkeeper jerseys and customize them with “Giroud 9″.”
Giroud’s brilliant performance in goal came late in the game as France’s all-time top scorer bravely charged in to deny Georges Puskas a great chance to equalize.
After the game, the 37-year-old shared a photo of himself wearing a Maignan jersey on social media with the caption: “Dedicated to you, Magic Mike. Giroud the Terminator.”
