My favorite Square Enix JRPG just got a drastic half price reduction

I grew up playing classic Square Enix JRPGs like Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger in the 90s. For me, it remains a high watermark of what an RPG should be. But, as many of you may already know, back then we didn’t have all the releases from Square, where the sequel to Secret to Mana, also known as Seiken Densetsu 3, n was never released in the United States.

As emulation became more and more popular, the game eventually received an English patch from modders, and it became my favorite Mana game even to this day. This is why the Seiken Densetsu 3 remake, known as Trials of Mana, was at the highest level. at the top of my list for releases in 2019. Well, the game finally made its way to Android in 2021, but the mobile price left a lot to be desired, which is why today’s sale is so notable; you can pick up Trials of Mana right now for $10, which is essentially half the retail price.

But don’t wait too long

If you’ve ever tracked how often Square Enix games go on sale on the Play Store, you already know that this is an infrequent occurrence. Square likes to price its mobile ports high, which is why it’s so important to catch these sales as they appear, because you never know when the next sale will happen. Square can also be pretty stingy when it comes to these sales, so when one of its games is half price or more, that’s when you know it’s time to jump, and that’s it. is precisely why I wrote this article, so people don’t do it. I won’t miss anything.

Of course, this is a mobile port, which means some changes have been made. Touchscreen controls have been added, along with a new user interface that is better suited to smaller screens than the console and PC versions. However, with the addition of touch controls, Square has removed support for controllers, meaning you’ll have to play using the touchscreen. Luckily, the difficulty is adjustable, with an easy mode that scales well with mobile controls, ensuring you can actually complete the game without a controller. You can also get an Android controller that supports custom mappable buttons for touchscreens, like the Razer Kishi Ultra, if you absolutely must play with a physical controller.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sale to buy one of Square Enix’s best JRPGs (in my opinion), today is the day, because you can buy Trials of Mana on the Play Store for half price at $10 . If this suits you, click on the Play Store widget below to go to the game listing and click on the Buy button.
