The Eagles will be without the following six players this afternoon against the Rams.
S Sydney Brown: The rookie missed his second straight game with a hamstring injury.
DT Fletcher Cox: The veteran is dealing with a back injury and will miss the first game of the season.
Quarterback Tanner McGee (third quarterback): The rookie will serve as the team’s emergency quarterback, only available if Jalen is injured and Marcus Mariota is injured.
TE Albert Okwuegbunam: The tight end will not be active today after making his Eagles debut in Week 4.
RB Rashad Penney: Penny will miss the game due to illness.
DT Marlon Tupulotu: Another defensive tackle is out with a triceps injury.
Punter Brayden Mann and cornerback Bradley Roby were elevated from the practice squad for today’s game. Robbie will make his Eagles debut after signing earlier this week.
Safety Justin Evans and wide receiver Quez Watkins will play today. Evans missed last week’s game with a neck injury and Watkins missed the last two games with a hamstring injury.
Yesterday, offensive guard Cam Jurgens was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury. He will be eligible to return in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys. Sua Opeta will start at right back in place of the injured Jürgens. Tyler Steen will make his NFL debut to provide depth to the offensive line.
Mauro Ojomo will also make his NFL debut in Los Angeles. With two defensive tackles out, Ojomo will likely see playing time on the defensive line.
