Significant is apparently close to launching your own Philips Hue video bell, after a leak in the company’s own iOS application.
The Philips Hue collection to mean covers many intelligent house devices, the list mainly comprising lights and security cameras. Although he does not currently have video bell in his imaging collection, it could change in a few months.
Revealed by BlogTHE Hue application For iOS, iOS was updated in March to include an option to save the devices by QR code, with there also an option to add equipment without the QR code. It was this last option that confirmed the existence of the device.
The fact of going through the “NO QR Code” menu shows a list of types of devices, including a “secure door bell”. The application asks users to ensure that they physically install the doorbell, but try to continue to warn that it cannot find the doorbell due to a lack of power.
It is very likely that the doorbell will have video capacities, with the doorbell requiring both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for the configuration.
Although there is no mention of the Sonnette specifications, this will probably correspond to the capacities of the Hue Secure Camera line, which goes to 1080p. The possibility of speaking to anyone who has sounded the door is likely, given the functionalities of the existing camera, as well as intelligent alerts and the use of end -to -end encryption.
The appearance of a device in an application is generally a good sign that a new product is on the way, or at least being tested for a future version. As for what it could be, the sources of report expect what it will happen in the fall.
Probably not on Homekit
Although the appearance of the doorbell in a menu of settings of the official iOS application is a good sign that it will work with the iPhone, there is always a socket that Apple ecosystem users can find irksome. Namely, the likely lack of home support.
The range of existing Philips Hue secure cameras has no homekit support, and they don’t work with Homekit Secure Video. Although the doorbell probably connects to the application safely with encryption, it is unlikely that doing so with the intelligent Apple platform.
Philips Hue supports the importance, the standard to help devices from different producers to connect with various intelligent domestic frames, such as Homekit. However, although it covers a lot of equipment, the care of Matter for safety or smart cameras is somewhat lacking at the moment, although this can change in the future.
With a lack of Homekit secure video support in security cameras in their current state, the situation is unlikely to change until the material is updated.
