Grab the umbrellas early with some patchy showers. Most areas may remain dry, but more activity is expected later today.
Scattered showers are expected to arrive around lunchtime, bringing pockets of heavy rain. There could also be a few thunderstorms embedded in the rain, but they are not expected to become severe.
Temperatures will climb into the mid to 70s for a warm but active day.
Depending on how the morning goes will ultimately determine what the potential for the afternoon will look like.
The entire area is less than 1 in 5 for serious potential. Isolated storms can bring all kinds of dangers, including damaging winds, hail and tornadoes. The timing falls between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Showers and storms appear to be more isolated or scattered, avoiding certain areas. Stay informed of the weather later today. The severe threat eases after sunset with showers and a few storms continuing overnight. Showers will end early Friday morning.
Cloud cover will also begin to disappear throughout the day tomorrow as the weather becomes sunny later in the day. Temperatures will remain in the low 70s to low 70s for the next few days.
A few scattered showers are expected later in the day Saturday. Conditions will dry out for Sunday with the return of the sun.
