Samsung began to deploy its UI 7 update based on Android 15 to select older Galaxy smartphones and tablets, officials said on Monday. The deployment marks the last efforts of the company to extend advanced software functionalities to a wider range of its devices.
The update is initially available on key devices, including the Galaxy S24, S24 Fe, S23, S23, S23 FE, Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S23 Ultra models. In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 in the Z series, as well as the Galaxy Tab S10 and TAB S9 up to date.
Samsung has confirmed that an IU 7 incorporates a series of AI -centered features designed to improve user interaction and productivity. The software update introduces features such as AI Select, which allows you to convert video clips into GIF via a sweep panel on the Edge panel, and assistance writing, which helps the formatting of the text and the summary in various applications and messages. Drawing assistance and audio gum further expand creative and multimedia capacities, offering refined sketch suggestions and the removal of background noise in videos, respectively.
A notable addition is the bar now, which provides real -time information such as music status and fitness tracking directly on the lock screen. Integration with Google Gemini should simplify tasks, including research, application navigation and control of devices using natural language vocal commands.
The new update also includes improvements in parameter search features and a locking screen redrawn with more informative widgets. Samsung officials provide that deployment will gradually reach additional devices in the coming weeks, ensuring that a wider user base can access these improvements.
Users who plan to update their devices should check the battery life and sufficient battery availability and make a full backup before launching the installation. The update is accessible by sailing towards the settings, by selecting the software update and following the invites to the screen.
