BATON ROUGE, La. – Visit Baton Rouge, LSU Athletics will welcome the popular Savannah Bananas to Baton Rouge this spring, March 14, 2024 A three-night fixture at Alex Box Stadium on the 16th. The game in Baton Rouge marked the team’s first in a college ballpark.

The Savannah Bananas are a circus-like baseball team based in Savannah, Georgia that are infamous for their unique take on America’s favorite pastime. Bananas is popular for its in-game entertainment and social media, with every game sold out since 2016.

Tickets can only be purchased through the Savannah Bananas Ticket Lottery; tickets will not be sold at the LSU Athletics Ticket Office.

Fans are encouraged to enter the ticket lottery before the on December 1, 2023.Fans can find the ticket lottery list at thesavannahbananas.com/tickets/

A random draw will take place approximately two months before the event. If selected, fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets. Children 3 and under are admitted free.

About a year ago, LSU Athletics and the Baton Rouge Visitors Bureau began working with the Savannah Bananas organization to explore the possibility of a partnership. In 2023, the Banana Ball World Tour attracted sold-out crowds in 33 cities and 20 states.

They have played at Triple-A, Double-A, Single-A and MLB Spring Training ballparks, most recently at Abner Doubleday Field next to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York One game to end the tour.

The 10,326-seat Alex Box Stadium and LSU Ballpark has ranked first in the nation in total attendance 25 times since 1996.

All rosters will feature some of the world’s most entertaining and talented players, including former MLB stars and celebrity guests. In 2023, former MLB stars Jake Peavey, Hunter Pence, Johnny Damon, Josh Reddick and Barry Zito all joined the team during the tour.
