Following a blockbuster inaugural festival earlier this year, Nevada-based Sick New World Music Festival has announced its 2024 lineup, which includes sleep tokenSlipknot and The Killing Joke on the bill.
Taking place on Saturday, April 27th at the Las Vegas Music Festival Grounds, System Of A Down will be back with a bang, accompanied by millennial metal heavyweights Slipknot.
This year’s bill features a significantly wider range of band styles than its predecessor. Also on this year’s line-up are grunge icons Alice In Chains, British metal stars Bring Me The Horizon, Maynard James Keenan’s alternative metal band A Perfect Circle, mysterious masked metal band Sleep Token, Richmond groove metal veterans Lamb Of God and fast-rising Canadian metalcore favorites Spiritbox.
Filling out the real bill for Sick New World 2024 includes Killing Joke, Babymetal, Loathe, Ice Nine Kills, Knocked Loose, Motionless In White, Jinjer, Code Orange, Motionless In White, Black Veil Brides, Loathe, Wage War, and Skindred.Pre-sale ticket registration is now available through the official Sick New World website, the pre-sale will begin at 10 a.m. Pacific time this Friday (October 13). nu Metal Outift Kittie are one of the other bands returning from this year’s lineup for the 2024 event.Earlier this year, singer Morgan Rand was interviewed metal hammer Regarding the resurgence of nu metal, making events like Sick New World possible, he said: “It’s definitely going to have a resurgence. It’s not really gone. It’s been hidden deep in South America for a long time. It’s just a bunch of parents listening to it.” Kids who grew up listening to the music grew up loving it.
