  • The average age of the squad is 26.6 years and the number of selections per player is 63.
  • Seven players from that starting lineup started against Mexico on Feb. 26 in Carson, Calif., in the Concacaf W Gold Cup group stage final: Naeher, Fox, Horan, Coffey, Lavelle, Smith and Rodman.
  • Goalie Alyssa Naeher Naeher will captain the United States for the second time in her career, making her 105th international cap. Naeher, who will be making her first appearance for the USWNT since her heroic performance in the 2024 SheBelieves Cup final, will be honored before the game for her 100th cap, which she earned on March 3 in the Concacaf W Gold Cup quarterfinal against Colombia. The Connecticut native will be heading to her third Olympic Games and sixth consecutive world championship with the USWNT.
  • Emily Fox Fox, who ranks third on the team in minutes played this year, is the 67th player in USWNT history to reach 50 caps. At 26 years and 5 days old, she is the second-youngest defender to reach 50 caps in the last decade, behind Tierna Davidson.
  • Reigning American Women’s Soccer Player of the Year Naomi Girma The American will be celebrating her 33rd cap, as she will make her seventh appearance, all as a starter, for the USWNT this year. Girma is one of nine Olympians making their debut on this list and is heading to her second world championship after a standout performance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
  • Trinity Rodman Rodman is on pace to earn her 39th cap as she makes her eighth start and 11th overall appearance for the USWNT in 2024. Rodman, who will be making her 29th consecutive appearance for the United States — the longest streak by a USWNT player since 2020, is tied for the team lead with three assists this year and recorded an assist on Sophia Smith’s goal against Korea Republic in her last outing.
  • Mallory Swanson, Swanson, who enters the international window having scored in each of her last four games for the Chicago Red Stars, will make her third start and fifth appearance for the USWNT in 2024 as she earns her 93rd cap. Swanson has scored in each of her last three games for the USWNT at Red Bull Arena, including the game-winning goal against Germany in November 2022, which marked the start of a remarkable six-game scoring streak. She has scored three goals in five career games against Mexico, finding the back of the net in three of her last four outings against The Sorting.
  • Lindsey Horan Horan will make her 10th start in 2024, marking her 149th appearance with the USWNT. The most-capped player on the 2024 U.S. women’s Olympic soccer team and a three-time Olympian, Horan contributed six goals (two goals, four assists) against Mexico, the most goals scored against any opponent in her USWNT career.
  • Sophie Smith She will make her 49th international appearance, her fifth start – and 11th appearance overall – for the USWNT this year. The reigning NWSL Golden Boot winner, Smith has assisted on a goal in each of her last three games for the USWNT, tied for the longest such streak of her international career. She has three goals and an assist in her last three outings and has four goals overall this year, tied with Lindsey Horan for second on the team.
  • Tierna Davidson The American will mark her 59th cap by making her eighth appearance – all as a starter – in 2024. Davidson had started six consecutive games – and played just 30 minutes in that span – before getting a much-needed rest for the United States’ June 4 match against Korea Republic. At just 25, Davidson will be heading to her third world championship with the USWNT, helping the United States win bronze at the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the 2019 World Cup title.
  • The least capped player on the final Olympic list, Jenna Nighswonger Nighswonger will earn her 10th cap as she makes her eighth career start and seventh of 2024. The 2023 NWSL Rookie of the Year with NJ/NY Gotham FC, Nighswonger earned her first call-up to the USWNT in November and will be headed to her first World Championship.
  • Fresh off her 100th selection in Minnesota, Rose Lavelle will make his 101st international appearance and fifth start of 2024. Lavelle, who is coming off goals in back-to-back games for NJ/NY Gotham FC, is tied for the team lead with three assists this year.
  • Originally from Sleepy Hollow, New York Sam Coffey will make her ninth start in 2024, trailing only Lindsey Horan for the most starts for the team in 2024. Coffey, who was named to her first world championship roster at any level, is on pace to earn her 18th cap for the USWNT and make her 11th career start.
