The men’s T20 World Cup will take place in the West Indies and the United States in June, with England the defending champions for an expanded 20-team event.

Every T20 World Cup match will be broadcast live on Sky Sportsending with the final in Barbados on Saturday June 29.

T20 World Cup groups

  • Group A – India, Pakistan, IrelandCanada, United States
  • Group B – EnglandAustralia, Namibia, ScotlandOman
  • Group C – New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea

The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 stage, with the top two from each Super 8 pool then reaching the semi-finals.

How did the teams qualify?

West Indies And UNITED STATES gained automatic entry by being host, with the latter now participating in the tournament for the first time, while England, Pakistan, New Zealand, India, Australia, South Africa, Netherlands And Sri Lanka secured their place by finishing in the top eight in the previous T20 World Cup in 2022.

Afghanistan And Bangladesh were then included after being the next two highest teams in the T20I rankings, with every second place determined by regional qualifying.

Ireland And Scotland went through the European section and Papua New Guinea emerged from the East Asia and Pacific qualifiers.

Canada – who will also make their debut in the tournament – advanced in qualifying for the Americas, while Nepal And Oman are the Asian qualifiers, with Namibia And Uganda who will go through African qualifications to complete the training.
