Minneapolis — Taylor Swift was unable to attend the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings Sunday afternoon.
Swift is rumored to be dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. She played in the team’s final two games in Kansas City and New York, both wins for the Chiefs.
As the game entered the end of the first quarter, any hopes of Swift playing were beginning to fade.
“Seven words that I think will never leave me in my career: Taylor Swift is not competing,” commentator Jim Nantz said. “She’s been questioned all week, but it looks like it’s officially inactive.”
Minnesota ultimately lost to Kansas City 27-20.
Earlier this week, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey tells TMZ He expects Swift to be available for Sunday’s game.
In June, Swift played two shows at U.S. Bank Stadium. She later said on social media The crowd in Minneapolis was “the most generous” and she “loved every second of it.”
In the past two games with Swift on the court, Kelce has caught 11 passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Kelce left the Vikings game late in the first half with an ankle injury. He returned midway through the third quarter.
Swift’s Eras Tour concert film will be released on October 13th. She will release “1989” (Taylor’s version) on October 27th.
