Taylor Swift is having one of the most record-breaking weeks in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart – surpassing the all-time highs she previously set – as she claims the top 14 positions in the survey on 4 may. “Fortnight”, featuring Post Malone, is taken from his new album, The Department of Tortured Poetswhich, following the release of the Republic Records set on April 19, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Swift was already the only artist to dominate the entire Hot 100 top 10 — thanks to tracks from her latest album featuring brand new material, Midnightsin 2022, worn by the “Anti-Hero” of the collection.
Among Swift’s other new achievements, “Fortnight” becomes her 12th Hot 100 No. 1, while she is tied for sixth among leaders in the chart archives; she increases her career top 10 ranking from 49 to 59, the most among women; and it lists 32 songs – all 31 from the deluxe version of The Department of Tortured Poets plus established hit “Cruel Summer” – on the latest overall list, the most ever in a single week by a woman.
The Hot 100 mixes U.S. all-genre streaming data (official audio and official video), radio airplay, and sales data, the latter metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from digital music retailers full-service; Sales of digital singles from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. Broadcasts, diffusion and sales of the first week of “Fortnight”
“Fortnight,” which arrives as the 1,170th No. 1 in the 65-year history of the Hot 100, attracted 76.2 million official streams and 31.1 million radio audience impressions and sold 19,000. in the United States from April 19 to 25.
The single establishes itself as Swift’s ninth leader on the streaming songs chart, the most among women (and second overall only behind Drake’s 20), and her 29th number one in song sales digital, which extends the record. On the Radio Songs chart, it debuted at No. 14 (Swift’s second highest entry, after “Anti-Hero” debuted at No. 13).
“Fortnight’s” premiere with 76.2 million streams marks the highest total for a song in a single week since YouTube’s song user-generated content was removed from chart calculations in 2020, surpassing 76.1 million that Olivia Rodrigo’s “Driver’s License” attracted in its first frame, as evidenced by charts dated January 23, 2021. (With 66.2 million official on-demand streams, “Fortnight” scores the biggest week by that metric since “Driver’s License” drew 66.8 million that week.)

With her 12th Hot 100 No. 1, Swift passes Whitney Houston and ties Madonna and The Supremes for sixth place leaders in the chart’s history. Among women, only Mariah Carey (19 years old) and Rihanna (13 years old) have more.

Swift’s Record Streak of Top 100 No. 1 Albums
As reported last October, when the revived “Cruel Summer” reached No. 1 on the Hot 100, four years after its release on her 2019 album. LoverSwift tied Rihanna for the number of consecutive studio albums featuring all-new material — seven — each generating at least one Hot 100 No. 1.
Now, under the reign of “Fortnight,” Swift has only a record eight consecutive albums of all new music (excluding her re-recorded projects), each one from Hot 100 No. 1s. Here’s a rundown:

By instantly adding 10 new Hot 100 top 10s, Swift becomes the first woman to surpass 50 career top 10s, increasing her total from 49 to 59.

While Wallen debuted 27 songs on the Hot 100 that week, Swift’s 31 debuts that week mark the most debuts in a single week.

Swift’s most recent No. 1 as a writer and producer
Swift co-wrote “Fortnight” with Post Malone and Jack Antonoff, the latter of whom also produced it with Swift. Swift has now co-written 12 and co-produced six Hot 100 No. 1s.
Antonoff adds his sixth Hot 100 No. 1 as a songwriter and producer. Post Malone lands his fifth lead as a writer.

Below Swift’s songs at Nos. 1 to 14 on the Hot 100, Benson Boone records the highest number of hits, while his “Beautiful Things,” at peak No. 2, falls 3 to 15. (When Swift took all top 10 with pieces of MidnightsSam Smith and Kim Petras’ “Unholy” halted its run, ranking at No. 11, a week after reaching No. 1.)
Hozier’s “Too Sweet,” at No. 16, follows the all-new Hot 100, a week after reaching No. 1. Future, Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar’s former three-week leader, “Like That,” is pushed back 2-17. and Teddy Swims’ former one-week No. 1, “Lose Control,” goes back 4-18, as it tops radio songs for a third week (69.5 million audience, down from 1 %).
