A huge crowd gathered for the first day of the 2024 Fontana Days Festival on May 30.
Ángel Gutierrez and his friend were very excited to attend the annual festival and were among the first in line at 4 p.m. Doors opened at 5 p.m.
He said, “I wanted to get here before the line got long,” which it did.
The festival, coordinated by the Exchange Club of Fontana and the city of Fontana, will run through June 2 at 17255 Merrill Avenue, at the corner of Palmetto Avenue.
The festival features rides, games, food and vendor booths, and a wide variety of entertainment.
The cost of entry to the park is $3 per person per day, and children 5 and under are free.
Hours on Sunday, June 2 are from noon to 10 p.m.
This year, to ensure the safety of all participants, only clear bags, backpacks, purses and baby bags may be brought into the park (there will be no exceptions to this rule).
All profits will be donated to the community. A large portion will go toward scholarships for Fontana high school students.
