Google is preparing a parameter page overhaul for its telephone application which resembles the segmented settings menu of the planned user interface with Android 16. We have managed to allow the update design in the latest version of the phone application for Give you an early overview.

When you use the light theme, the parameter page has a light gray background with the menu elements obtaining a white background. Meanwhile, in dark mode, the parameter page has a dark gray background and a black background for menu items. The new design seems to take charge of the theme based on wallpaper, modifying the color of the background and other user interface elements based on current wallpaper.
This new design is not live in the latest Beta Build phone application and will probably take place with a future update. Since the Android settings page should get the segmented overhaul in Android 16, Google can publish the updated settings menu for the telephone application with the platform upgrade.
Other Google applications could obtain the same treatment in the months preceding the deployment of Android 16. We will keep an eye on new developments and update this message as soon as we have more details.
