If you have recently heard of strange problems of restart with Android Auto but you have not encountered these problems yourself, it seems that the reason is that these problems were apparently caused by the parameters of the developers.
Alarms resounded Last week concerning a new potential Android Android bug that made smartphones restart at random while using Android Auto. That returns to A Reddit thread where five separate users reported the same behavior. Android Auto would start on the screen of their car, but would cause a “soft” restart on their phone when they interacted with certain parts of the experience. The “soft” restart in this context means that the Android Auto session ends and that the device enters a locked state, rather than going through a complete restart.
We have not found additional reports on this behavior on Google’s assistance forums or other typical channels where Android car problems are surface.
This seems to be due to the way this “problem” of restart occurred because it was apparently linked to certain fairly obscure Android developer parameters.
In a Reddit comment, A user found On February 21, that deactivating the developer’s parameters for “Force Desktop Mode” solved the problem. It was claimed That the Android Auto 13.8 update, deploying now, has solved the problem, but it seems that the installed version makes no difference in this case. The problem appeared for the first time with Android Auto 13.4, and downgraded to version 13.3 Correction of the problem for some. Thus, at one point, it goes without saying that an auto and subsequent Android update will completely solve this problem, even if the fairly obscure developer parameter seems to be the deep cause.
Meanwhile, there were more more widespread problems with Android Auto wirelessly recently, as users encountered problems with the latest updates that caused the breakdown of wireless connectivity. We do not know if the latest version, Android Auto 13.8, solves these problems.
