According to Apple, iOS 18 is installed on 76% of iPhones published in the past four years – an improvement in relation to the adoption of iOS 17 of last year. An upcoming upgrade aims to push this even higher figure. IOS 18.4 offers a clearer overview of upcoming improvements. Here is an overview of the latest features of the next iPhone update.

In addition, Apple delivered the applications promised for iPhone and Vision Pro in the second beta version of iOS 18.4. If you have an Apple helmet, you will see a new application for high -end 3D glasses on your smartphone. This application provides key technical data on pro vision and offers recommendations on the new content you can watch.
On the pro vision itself, Visionos 2.4 Beta 2 presents the space gallery, where you can explore new 3D photos and videos.
New features for Apple Intelligence
As expected, the software update also includes several AI improvements. Apple introduces better control over newly introduced “priority notifications”. Now you can specify which applications are allowed to send you these push notifications. IOS 18.4 automatically detects which notifications could be important for you and highlights them on the lock screen using “priority notifications”.
For owners of the iPhone 15 Pro (Revue), Pro Max and iPhone 16th (review), iOS 18.4 Beta 2 adds access to visual intelligence. Although the standard models of the iPhone 16 can activate this function by tapping the camera controls in double, this option previously failed on the other three models. Now you can assign visual intelligence to the action button, and there is also a new control of control center.
Speaking of Control Center, iOS 18.4 presents new options for Siri. You can now select between two new buttons: “Talk to Siri” and “Type to Siri” when you call the assistant.

iOS 18.4: More small adjustments in beta 2
Publishers at Macrumors have identified additional changes in iOS 18.4. Users can now pause downloads directly from the App Store update list and resume them from the same location, which makes applications more practical.
The shortcut application also introduces new actions for Apple’s native applications, in particular benefiting users who create personalized workflows. Many of these commands allow a finer control on application settings, such as configuration of Apple Maps navigation preferences.
According to 9TO5MACThese new features suggest that Apple lays the foundations for future Siri improvements. The new, more precise orders will improve the virtual assistant capacities while being useful for personal shortcuts.
In the Photos Application, Apple now provides more direct access to catering or deleting permanence of images from the virtual trash can. Meanwhile, the Wallet application wins a new menu to manage “subscriptions and payments”, allowing users to supervise the transactions authorized by Apple.
IOS 18.4 BETA 2 is now available for all compatible iPhones, including the iPhone 16th and iPhone 12. The latter had problems with the first preview. In addition to the next iPhone update, Apple has also published the second beta versions of iPados 18.4, MacOS 15.4, Visionos 2.4, Watchos 11.4 and TVOS 18.4.
