Thanks to the progress of battery technology, larger batteries can be found in smaller and finer Android phones. An upcoming version of IQOO shows it perfectly, with a massive battery of 7,300 mAh inside a thinner device than the Google Pixel 9.
It is rare to find devices that have larger batteries than around 5,000 mAh. In my mind at least, I generally associate something greater with an electricity bank. But, slowly, we see these figures increase. The OnePlus 13, for example, has a battery of 6,000 mAh in a frame no larger than its predecessor.
But the Iqoo Z10 really seems to change the way we think of the battery sizes of the smartphone.
Although it has not yet been fully announced, Iqoo has teased the Z10 version with the device to do to have A Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 under the hood, as well as a 7,300 mAh battery in a fairly thin design. iqoo teasing last weekBut a new image of the device shared by Ishan Agarwal helps put the profile of this phone from an even better perspective.
Measuring at 7.89 mm, the IQOO Z10 is thinner than the Google Pixel 9 by a notable margin, with the last Google device and its 4,700 mAh battery inside 8.5 mm thick. For an additional context, the Z10 is only 0.02 mm thick than the iPhone 16. Of course, the Z10 likely has a larger display than these two devices, but the battery size difference remains impressive.
The complete specifications of the IQOO Z10 have not yet been revealed, but with other devices like the Oppo Find N5 and Tecno Spark Slim showing that thin conceptions do not have to sacrifice the life of the battery, it is clear that we enter a whole new world of battery sizes in smartphones.
