After announcing its debut late last year, Samsung offered a public preview of its upcoming Android XR headset, “Project Moohan,” at its latest Unpacked event.
In December, Google announced its Android XR project that would launch on a Samsung headset in 2025. We tested the device at the time, but photos of the hardware weren’t allowed. This week at Samsung’s Unpacked event, the hardware was on display in person, offering a closer look at what’s to come.

You can’t really see this in person. Just a few feet away – the headset was strapped in and Samsung wouldn’t let anyone try it – it looks very premium.
The style isn’t as futuristic or “sophisticated” as Vision Pro, but it looks much nicer than anything Meta has released so far. Personally, I haven’t been very excited about this product – I’m much more looking forward to the next AR glasses – but after seeing it in person, my interest is piqued.
