Transparent live legends arrive on your Android phone

Tl; DR

  • Live legend allows you to easily add the subtitling to all the supports that you consume on your phone, but so far, the legends have been forced to use a solid background.
  • Google is currently deploying a new option that allows you to define a transparent background for legends.
  • Currently, it is only available on new models of pixels, but will probably be distributed on other phones supporting the live legend.

Modern technology has completely transformed the availability of legends on the media that we consume. It has long spent the time when subtitling something was a slow and manual process, and we went from services like YouTube able to generate them automatically, to our phones themselves able to create directly Legends using systems such as live legend. Last month, Google gave live legend a large functional upgrade with expressive legends, and now the legends get a little more refinement thanks to an intelligent interface adjustment.

Perhaps you are just an occasional legendary reader, but others have serious preferences with regard to the presentation of their text on the screen. Placement, police, size, color – there are many options that have an impact on how legends are delivered. And now the Reddit user Andyoooo spotted live legends on Android to collect a new transparency option (via 9TO5GOOGLE).

This change would have arrived alongside the Android System Intelligence V.17 update from Google, which started hitting Pixel devices at the end of last month. Until now, it does not seem that Google has made this update available to non -pixel handsets, or those of the old versions of Android.

When it is put online on your phone, you will find a new “transparency in the background” in the live legendary settings. Although we do not get any fine control how opaque the background is, it is always a nice upgrade to obtain for those of us who are a little special about our legends.
