Truman’s serves pizza inspired by Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

Truman’s KC Pizza Tavern is in the “Traylor” era.

The Kansas City Chiefs Pub, located at 400 SE Sixth Street in Des Moines’ East Village, recently launched a Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift themed pizza. The pizza flavor is inspired by the Chiefs tight end’s pregame French toast snack, with strawberries and Swift’s love of breaded chicken tenders.

Chicken and Waffles Pizza (Traylor’s Version) celebrates the rumored pop culture power couple. The title references re-recordings of the music superstar’s earlier albums, which were titled “Taylor’s Version,” but adds an r to mash up her name with Kelce’s.

Chris Mendenhall, Truman’s managing partner, said the creation was a tribute to the internet’s latest obsession.

“We’re the Chiefs hangout in town. We’re packed an hour and a half, two hours before every game, so why not embrace what’s going on?” Mendenhall told Chronicle,” he noted that he is not a Swiftian.

Swift sat out the Oct. 8 game against the Minnesota Vikings during Kelce’s birthday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
