Trump’s Vice Presidential Candidates Line Up to Defend His Dangerous MAGA Agenda at Tonight’s Debate

Today, Donald Trump’s vice presidential contenders are humiliating themselves in Atlanta to promote Trump’s baseless lies during and around the presidential debate. In response, DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement:

“Donald Trump’s potential running mates are humiliating themselves in Atlanta tonight for one reason only: to prove to Trump that they will put his failed agenda, his deranged orders, and his MAGA extremism ahead of the American people. No matter what. From banning abortion to denying elections to cutting health care and benefits to defending Trump’s hateful rhetoric, the MAGA agenda that Trump and his lackeys are pushing is deeply unpopular and out of touch with voters—and no amount of desperate talking points from his running mates will change that. As Trump’s running mates turn to the far right to try to pass his MAGA litmus test, President Biden and Vice President Harris will remain focused on continuing to deliver for the American people.”
