Ramaswamy, who describes himself as an “anti-woke” biotech millionaire, clarified that he didn’t mean to defund the FBI but to create a new agency built from scratch that respects the law. However, Todd couldn’t help but ask, “So, you’re going to replace the FBI with a new FBI?”

According to The Washington Post, Ramaswamy has also proposed shutting down the Department of Education, limiting the Federal Reserve, and deploying US troops to the Mexican border. Despite having no political experience, Ramaswamy believes that as someone running for the executive branch of the government, he needs to turn over the bureaucracy.

Vivek Ramaswamy Proposal to Shut Down the FBI

He believes that federal law enforcement is necessary, but the FBI has become ossified in its norms and corruption. Therefore, rebuilding it from scratch and creating something new would be the best action. If he were elected, Ramaswamy stated that there should be term limits for him and the bureaucrats reporting to him.

In conclusion, Vivek Ramaswamy’s proposal to replace the FBI with a new agency may perplex many. Still, he believes a fresh start is needed to rebuild a federal law enforcement agency that respects the law. Whether or not his proposal gains traction remains to be seen.
