TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Wawa is celebrating a milestone and invites its loyal fans to celebrate with them!
For one day only, the retail business is offering customers free hot coffee of all sizes, all day, from the self-serve coffee bar, in vintage mugs that reflect designs from the last six decades.
Coffee and Wawa lovers can take advantage of this deal on Tuesday, April 16, as the company plans to distribute more than 1.5 million cups of coffee nationwide.
In addition to a free cup of coffee, all Wawa locations will select a “Day Brightening” customer, who can win a scarf, a mug and a week of coffee.
Customers will also enjoy special offers like 60 cent promotions including birthday cake donuts, teas, juices and lemonade! The store will be decorated in 1960s fashion and will feature vintage decor mugs, hoagie paper and specialty cups.
On April 16, 1964, Wawa, Inc. opened its first store in Folsom, Pennsylvania. Sixty years later, Wawa now has more than 1,000 stores nationwide.
“As we celebrate this milestone of our 60th anniversary, we want to thank our customers and associates for creating the unforgettable bonds that have propelled us through the years and allowed us to continue to go beyond execution orders, to fulfilling lives every day,” Wawa said. CEO Chris Gheysens said. “On April 16, we invite our customers to celebrate our history and our future, and to toast with us as we celebrate the countless illuminating moments we have experienced together over the years. »
