FORECAST DISCUSSION:

It’s a weather alert day for central Ohio as we track increasing risks of severe thunderstorms. The entire region will see a slight risk of severe weather, with high winds being the main threat. Heavy rain is also a pretty good possibility. This rain would be much needed as parts of central Ohio are experiencing moderate drought.

The strongest storms will be most likely in the early to mid-afternoon. The main line will move out of central Ohio in the evening, but a few remaining showers will still appear. Highs will reach the upper 80s.

This evening the sky will calm and the clouds will clear. Lows will fall near the 70 degree mark. The cold front will pass through tomorrow morning and cooler, drier air will move in.

Sunday will have near-perfect weather with more sunshine and calm conditions. High temperatures will be around 80 degrees. Everything will remain quiet until we get closer to the 4th of July.

Wednesday for Red, White and Boom as well as Thursday 4th, there will be chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms. On both days, the chances of rain will be better in the late evening or early night.
