Brad Pitt and George Clooney reunite in a new original trailer for the upcoming action comedy “Wolfs,” from Columbia Pictures and Apple Original Films.
The two actors, who last appeared on screen together 16 years ago in the 2008 crime comedy “Burn After Reading,” remain uncomfortably silent as they ride in a car together in the trailer seemingly tense 30-second film, released May 28.
Clooney sits behind the wheel, looking bored as Pitt fiddles with the car’s visor then opens the glove box, prompting Clooney to slam it shut. All the way through the trailer, the car’s windshield wipers grind agonizingly slowly across the car’s windshield.
A new (and hopefully longer) trailer for “Wolfs” will be released on May 29.
What is “Wolves” about?
“Wolfs,” written and directed by Jon Watts, director of the “Spider-Man” franchise, tells the story of two lone wolves who try to cover up the same high-profile crime, according to GQ.
The film also stars Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams and Poorna Jagannathan.
When is “Wolfs” released?
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on September 20, according to GQ.
Will we see Clooney and Pitt in other films?
Clooney told Deadline in December 2023 that he, Pitt and Watts were “already talking about a sequel” to “Wolves,” calling filming the film a “big shoot.”
“We had a lot of fun making it and we saw it. It’s a great movie and it’s fun to work with Brad again. We had a great time,” Clooney said.
Pitt and Clooney have appeared together on screen several times in the past. In addition to 2008’s “Burn Before The Reading,” the pair starred in the “Oceans” franchise.
