WhatsApp is working on support for several accounts for iOS

WhatsApp recently Adding new camera effects, stickers and rapid reactions to its application, but there are many more improvements than its engineers plan to introduce in the coming months.

One of the improvements involves the possibility of changing WhatsApp accounts on the same device. The people of Wabetainfo I have just learned that a new iOS update which brings WhatsApp to version 25.2.10.70 includes the possibility of adding and managing several accounts in the application.

The same characteristic was spotted for the first time in August 2023, but WhatsApp was only testing several accounts on Android at that time. Now it seems that WhatsApp plans to bring this functionality to iOS users also at a given time in the future.

It remains to be seen how the multi-account management will be implemented on iOS, but currently users can choose between the configuration of the device as a main account or digitize a QR code to link a new account as a secondary. This will allow iOS users to switch between WhatsApp accounts on the fly without having to use several devices.

The addition of support for several accounts is not as simple as possible, because the application will have to keep all the conversations organized on a single device while keeping the separate accounts. Notifications, cats, backups and parameters will remain unique for each account, unless the user wants them to work similarly. Unfortunately, it is difficult to say when exactly WhatsApp plans to deploy a multi-account support on iOS, but see that the company is already working on this feature means that we will not have to wait too long.
