What is the Copa América 2024?
The Copa América, organized by CONMEBOL (South American Football Federation), is the first men’s football tournament bringing together national teams from South America. Traditionally contested every four years with 10 teams, the Copa América 2024 brings together 16 teams, including those from North America.
When will the 2024 Copa América take place?
The 2024 Copa América kicked off on Thursday June 20 and will continue until July 14, when it will culminate with the final match.
Who is organizing this event?
The event is jointly organized by CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Football) and CONMEBOL.
In 2024, the two confederations have collaborated to pave the way for the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Mexico, the United States and Canada.
Where will the 2024 Copa América be held?
This is the second time the prestigious tournament will be hosted in the United States and some matches will take place at Q2 Stadium in Austin and AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
