The Google widget of your Android home screen has a new hidden feature that is deactivated by default. In its latest update, the Google app has added a new personalization feature, allowing you to add a new shortcut to the Google application widget. This will allow you to press an icon in the widget to jump quickly to read the news, see weather updates or catch up with sports scores.
To get it, make sure your The Google application is updated to the latest version (16.3.34 or more). Then open the Google app on your smartphone and press the Profile Icon in the superior toolbar. Choose it Parameters option and naiga Customize the search widget menu. Here you can take a moment to customize the appearance of the widget by refining color and transparency.
Scroll down until you see the new Shortcut Section, with new shortcuts like Translate, Song Search, Weather, Translate (Camera), Translate (Text), Sports, Dictionary, Guomework and Finance. Press the More Button to add your new shortcut.

Choose the shortcut you want, that you can preview at the top. The Google widget is only responsible for one shortcut at a time, so you cannot add several shortcuts for the moment.
The new shortcut will appear next to the default icons for vocal research and the objective, in the Google research area. The icons do not support the equipment of your theme, so they do not correspond to the theme of your home screen if you use one. But for most Android users, this is not a problem.
In case you do not already have the configuration of the Google widget, you can easily do it from the home screen. The steps differ slightly depending on the Android operating system you use. Press and hold it on an empty part of the home screen and choose the Widgets option. Here, scroll through the Google App and add the Google widget. You can extend it or make it smaller.
Now with the widget, you will see your new shortcut there. Press the shortcut to switch to the relevant functionality in the Google application.
