During the weekend, we spotted a “double” tag appearing on content when scrolling the Youtube interface on Android TV and Google TV Material. For the moment, it looks like rare occurrence. Search for the same video entitled “100 sfogliatella layers” You might not see the tag. Instead, he will play with automatic audio in your region. This is the default value with non -native language videos based on your region.
The new “Dubbed” tag is similar to the “subtitles” tag that you could also see during navigation on the television interface and is only a gray text box under the video title, the chain and the number of views. There is a small personal language icon to indicate that the original audio is probably not in your mother tongue. We do not know how available this new tag is available, but it will depend strongly on the creator. On the desktop, this will appear when you open the video and is visible under the title. On televisions, it is not possible to see this because the readers’ commands are minimized as soon as you select the content – hence this differentiation.
AI-DUBBED audio is available for all YouTube creators, but it can be disabled during the download process. When it works, the functionality is very good, but as all things have, it is not perfect, and certain translations lack specific nuances or variations. However, this could, at the very least, give you more videos to watch when you relax and watch YouTube on your smart TV or Android TV box.
